Applications for the Summer 2023 edition of the SDSU Training Astronomy Research Scholars (STARS) program are now open.

Local students in high school, community college or their first two years at San Diego State University who are interested in astronomy research and STEM careers should consider applying for the free four-week educational experience.

Scholars will learn about the formation of galaxies, Python programming and receive hands-on training with astronomy data analysis.

Applications are due March 1st and the program will start June 26th.

Any questions can be directed to program director and professor Kate Rubin (krubin@sdsu.edu).
